Morphological features

I. Sizes [in.]
Cephalon

Brim length:

  Prolongation length,

  Cephalic length:

Diameter peripheral edge:

Glabella:

Preglabellar field:

The brim length amounts to 1,74 at nearly symmetrical structures and position. At this, the prolongation length is 0,91 and cephalic length as a result 0,83.

The maximum diameter amounts to 1,07.

Glabella's length over crest amounts to 0,33, the height 0,13 (Base ala, max. elevation).

0,24 (Genal angle, fringe).

Thorax

Thoracic- width:

Max. elevation rachis:

The thoracic length amounts to 0,89 at maximum width of 0,61.

The maximum visible elevation is 0,059 (Pleura, Max.)

Pygidium

Length:

The length along the central axis amounts to 0,047.

II. Structures
Cephalon

Cephalon with typical shape of a horseshoe and circumferential fringe; genal area strong convex, running out into flat genal arch; prominent pitting (concentratet) along inner boundary genal area and cephalons external rim; genal area up to genal spines pitted; glabella prominent ovate, anterior tapering; no visible furrows, prominent convex occipital ring. Tuberculous eyes, prominently protuding; Ala adumbrated. As a result of microscopic examination the fissures in the range of glabella, ala and occipital ring as well as free cheeks there's no exposition of stone core recognizable.

Thorax

20 thoracic segments; prominent pleural furrows (also relaxed region).

Pygidium

Very small, axis convex.

Conclusion

The layer specific colour of the trilobite, stands out well articulated from the blasted surface of the matrix. Summarised this midget is a fine representative of the Harpetidae :-)
